I have an evinrude outboard motor 200HP on a 1989 Stratos 289FS, 19 foot, fish and ski. I would like to find out how I can get a selling price on this motor. This was my husband's boat and he has since passed away this February. The boat itself is in good condition but the inside seats need to be replaced. I do not know how to go about finding out information on this. Any help?

Howdy, Joe.

Welcome to iboats. :)

nadaguides.com is a sort of "blue book" of average selling prices of boats and outboards.

Evinrudes usually sell for 10-20% above the nadaguide quotes.

Good luck. :)

Re: motor price

Check the Sunday classifieds for similar boats.
Or call a dealer to come out and appraise it for you.

Re: motor price

around here in tampa bay florida, that motor would fetch about a grand in good clean condition. if it were REALLY pretty, maybe 1500, if it were ugly and dirty and didnt work right, maybe 700

Re: motor price

Check Ebay to see what they are going for. I'm guessing here in the midwest it would be at least $2000.00 if in good shape....

Re: motor price

Hey it's true, it would be cheaper for me to buy (new or second hand) a outboard anywhere overseas and import it myself then to buy it here ...

Re: motor price

even thought the seats need to be replaced, you could probably still get more as a combo unit i think.
