Hi, I live in Australia and have a 1977 Johnson 115hp on my boat. I need a new motor for the power tilt unit. (not available anywhere). I believe the one I need is an Arco. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

I have an Arco replacement on mine, same year Evinrude V4. The book I have shows a Prestolite motor, which mine replaced apparently. The other one, a Calco is much different looking, it's a lot taller.

OK. Last try. Can I replace the whole unit with a prestolite pump and motor and will this work.

How about bringing the existing motor to a electric motor repair shop and having it rebuit?

Managed to find a Calco motor on Ebay and got it working. fantastic to not have to break my back in lifting the motor any more.
