My 1988 75 horse Mariner 3 cyl rocks a little bit back and forth at idle. It starts great idles good and revs up no problem. Is this normal or an indication of something I need to address? If so what can I do to make it stop?

Maybe the bushings are worn out??? I had one that did it and that was my assumption then.

Do you mean from side to side like left and right ? That is normal.

OR do you mean it is tipping ant an angle where the left side/right side of the motor lifts up ? Then that would be the steering bushings in the tilt mechanism.
