I am rebuilding a 14' bass boat and need some information on determining what size motor it can take. There was no plate on the old transom. The new transom has yet to be built. So I would like to know if this boat could handle a 45-50 hp motor if the transom was structurally sound and how many layers of fiberglass would do this?
