motor starts!! ........but wont turn off!!

sooo just had new motor put into my liberator 211, but the motor wont turn off when key turns off (have to pull the distr cap to shut off) clearly a wiring problem, any ideas??

Ayuh,... Crossed wiring Somewhere....Could be about Anywhere you've just had your fingers....

if you pull the main engine connector, you can determine if the crossed wire is in the boat or on the motor...

New motor, cross on the motor....

Need more information. Since liberator never made and engine or outdrive, what do you have? Model, SN, year, Make, type of outdrive, about anything at this point will help. Without knowing what you have, there isn't any help to be given.

Just a guess but did you just replace the alt.?
