motor swap

I am currently running a 1996 115 johnson faststrike on my bass boat. I found a 1986 evinrude 150 v6. I want to swap motors, but before I do I would like to know the actual weight of the 150 hp. thanks

go to NADA boats outboard motors, look up your motor

i doubt you'd notice any major improvements.

the 150 is larger , heavier, and drinks more fuel.

the 115 is smaller, lighter and drinks less fuel.

1986 tech VS. 1996 tech , that 115 is a better motor. hands down. especially if you have the 60 degree with optical ignition.
