Changed my old 140 mercruiser early70s with a pin harness to newer 140 with 9 pin harness do i have to change plug or add a gumper wire thx

Changed my old 140 mercruiser early70s with a pin harness to newer 140 with 9 pin harness do i have to change plug or add a gumper wire thx

It needs to be wired correctly and this can be done by changin the plug, or hard wire, its your choice. The wiring is a different by colors of wire used.
