Look for the sending unit in the block,someplace close to the head. It will be easy to find, and has one wire comming out of it. Connect this one wire to ground, and turn the key on. It should alarm. <br />If the engine is getting hot, don't run it at all.The imeller or thermostat is bad, or there is a blokage in the cooling system.<br />These high temp alarms are not very reliable.By the time they sound -off, severe damge may have allreay taken place inside the engine.<br />Do you have a temp gauge that shows how hot it is getting?
