I was wondering what to do about tilting my motor up when im towing the boat.

I have looked all over it and i cant seem to find anything that holds it up. My merc 35 has a little lever that you flip down whenever you want it to stay up.

Also wondering which of the trim holes will offer the best top speed? I dont have any experience without hydraulic trim.

Thanks for any advice.

generally you should tow with the motor down, it is less stress on the transom. A motor brace is useful here too, it will brace the motor up and away from the transom, relieving the stress. Finding the correct hole for tilt is trial/error. I would use a GPS and see which one is fastest without ventilation or the bow bobbing up and down.
