All connections "seem" fine?

Did you take them off, clean them and reattach?

If you did, take the voltage measurements listed in "Outboard wont start" in the FAQ section to identify where there may be a low resistance restriction.

Good luck. :)

Check all of the ground lugs on the engine block.Best to just disconnect them and clean and retighten. If that checks out and the starter rebuild was good ,it could be the solenoid points not making good contact. Also, insure that both red 12 volt cables leading to and from the starter solenoid are clean and tight.

measure the voltage at the bat with the key to"start" position, should read 12vdc.. next, then check the voltage at the starter with key in "start" position, i bet its only about 7vdc, i had this prob yesterday..... replace your wires, mine seemed fine, but were old , hooked up new ones and WHAM
