Motorguide 2600 prop replacement

My prop broke this morning on my 30 year old Motorguide 2600. I have a spare in the boat but no clue how to change it out. There is a single nut attached to the shaft holding the prop on but the shaft turns freely. How do I hold the shaft still to remove the nut holding the prop on?

Never mind. Just went out and looked at it again and figured it out.

I have the same problem on my old motorguide and I have'nt figured it out; what did you do? No slot in the prop shaft and not enoungh to grab with pliers.
