Motorguide Question

I have a motorguide 30#thrust. It has a foot pedal to steer. My trouble is that I have to keep my foot on the pedal to keep it from turning itself. If I let off the pedal the motor starts turning right. If I have it on a faster setting and continuous speed it will spin all the the to the right without my foot on the pedal.

Is there a set screw or something to tighten the shaft from spinning when my foot is off the pedal?:)

Re: Motorguide Question

Nope, sorry, that's the way it is - it's a very basic, yet rugged design.

If you had an extra $thousand or so laying around, you could get one a those fancy "autopilot" trolling motors................

welcome to iboats!
