Motorguide W55 12v AWG question

Gang,

I have a new W55 for my Bayliner.

My house battery is on port side aft. I figure I'll be running ~ 19' pos and 19' neg runs to the bow from battery and circuit breaker. I was considering 6 AWG for the run. Do you think this is sufficient? Or should I go for 4 AWG.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Motorguide W55 12v AWG question

By "house" do you mean a seperate deep-cycle battery? I skipped over pictures, and only saw a single starter battery. With an I/O you would really want a seperate one.

I think 6ga is fine, and believe that motor needs a 50-amp breaker. The wiring experts can say for sure.

PS: Please see PM on charger.

Yep I have 50 AMP breaker and separate deep cycle for house, and dual purpose for starting.

I called motorguide and they and say 6 AWG is fine.

Thanks!

I'll check the PM now...
