don't suppose anyone has the schematics to the motorguide W75 ? Would be appreciated. I am going to install a LED in the cover and will save me from poking around with my multimeter. All I really want to know is 1. is there access to the 24v under the top cover and 2. better yet, is there access to the 24v that only comes on when the trolling motor is on. I would like to install a LED on it so I can see where it is pointed at night. Be great if it only came on when I turned it on, but on all the time would work also, tho then I would probably have to also install a switch to turn it on and off.
Thanks for any info

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Motorguide could supply the schematics you seek, donberry. Asking members to supply them would violate copyright law and our rules. You just seem to be asking for info, so I will leave this alone, but be careful.

Thanks for your cooperation. :)

Go to BOATS dot NET and you will find wire diagram. Embedding the link here, causes a replacement string of astericks to insert, so link will not work. The wiring diagram will be one of the parts sheets under WIRELESS model.

You will only have PWM 24V when the motor is spinning the prop.

FWIW: As soon as you plug the unit in, you have power to the control board. There isn't a master on/off switch. It needs power to search for the wireless transmitters. Outputs from the control board go to trolling motor and another set to turning motor. If you want constant on voltage to the top of the head, you will need to run wires along the coiled TM wires.
