wondering if anyone has installed the sonar conversion kit on their Motorguide wireless t.m. ? If so, would love to see the instructions on how to do it. Contemplating getting one for my W75 and think the instructions may also be very useful for another idea I have in mind. Biggie is I am wondering how you get the cable to the sonar thru the column - do you have to actually remove the column (shaft) or can you "fish" it thru ? As far as installing it, is it basically just remove the cone by the bolts back by the prop ?
I googled it but could not find instructions anywhere. Actually, only thing I could even find on the conversion kits themselves were in parts list - normally listed at around $100.00. Does that sound about right for the whole kit ?
Any info deeply appreciated.

I have never seen instructions and don't believe the kit was meant for end user. From looking at the kit parts, I'd say the motor has to come completly apart, but doubt you have to remove shaft from motor housing. You would need to run a fish tape up through the bottom to pull the wire down from the top. The pig tail end, won't fit down the shaft. The surprise to me was the inclusion of the brush holder with the kit. Maybe the old one gets broken on removal?
