Mounting cleats on my pier

Got an approximate 35 foot long pier. Wanting to mount some cliets so friends and people stopping in can use them. Want to be able to accommodate Speed Boats, Pontoons, and Wave Runners. I've been told the distance apart for certain size boats. That doesn't help me because I don't know what boat, pontoon, Wave Runner might be stopping by. Could someone just recommend a good average distance apart? Thanks. PS Maybe someone works at a Marina and could tell me what they set theirs at? Thanks

Every 10-12' would be my recommendation

I agree with that range as well. 10' to 12' would accommodate a wide variety of craft and spacing.

Yep, 10 - 12 ft (or 15) will be fine for anything that could possibly get there (10' -60')

One at each end and approx every 9 foot in between.
Would suit Jetski, speed boats and bigger.
