I cant wrap my head around this issue, each end of tilt-tube has a nut, these two nut slides into a nut-shaped casting in the tilt-frame. How in all mighty does one screw this into it place the right way?? i tried to screw nut all the way in on steering-cable side before puhsing it in holes to mount the frame that we bolt the motor to the rear,so just screwd on the steering cable in tilt-tube,but then nut on other side screws itself out and visa vera beacause of these casted nut-pockets they sits in when mounted proplerly. Does someone understand this mess im wrighting?:)

I understand what you are saying---I think. One end of the tilt tube has longer threads than the other end, right? Put a nut on the short end and install the tube through the brackets, nut into pocket. Now, you should have a dummy nut with no threads for the other end. That slips over the tube, into the pocket. Then a "real" nut with threads completes the assembly. Finally, you now have enough threads sticking out to attach your steering cable.

BTW, the whole thing is reversible, just in the rare case your steering cable goes down the other side of the boat. That's why they made it so seemingly goofy.
