I'm not entirely sure where to post this...
Do I need to even mess with moving my tilt pin up or down a hole or two when I have the electric tilt? I read about people moving the pin to help trim it all out right, but at the same time they have the electric tilt/trim. I'm just having a hard time seeing how the pin even matters if you can set the trim with the trim/tilt motor.
The reason I ask is because my motor is always at a negative trim angle when fully down, the pin could stand to come up a hole or two, but the pin is rusted solid to the transom bracket. I tried removing it with a torch and even started to cut it off with the cutting torch, then I figured it probably doesn't matter where the pin is as long as it's out of the way enough to allow the motor to come all the way down. I could technically put a new pin, or bolt even, in one of the upper holes if I need to.
I can see how it matters with manual tilt obviously, but not with a trim motor.
