While boating this weekend I noticed a strange sight making its way across the water. It looked like the business end of a water-spout; lots of spray and water being thrown up yet there was no funnel coming down to the source of whatever was causing this phenomenon. As it got closer, all was suddenly made clear. A brand new boat (Tahoe - probably a Bass Pro Shop impulse purchase) being piloted by what I assumed to be a newbie owner who had the trim all the way in driving the nose down into the water. By God he had it pegged full steam ahead yet was topping out at maybe 25 with blasting sheets of water coming over the bow.

I almost followed them in to catch act II - Trailer Loading and Irrigating the Ramp with Skeg.

Hopefully it got back on the trailer and will live to float again !!!! and the owner will do some reading and learning.

Really enjoyed the description, the wife and I laughed really hard........... until the skeg comment. We just paid $200 for a Skeg repair :) :)

Thanks!

Re: Mr. Plow

Could it have been the break-in period? My Opti Max manual directed me to run for a certain number of hours with the throttle up high and the trim all the way in.
