MSD Tach Adapter

I have a MSD 6A ignition box hooked up to a MSD tach adapter
Mercruiser I/O 165

I have 3 tachs (2 spares) and cannot seem to be able to get them to work - reads "0"

I got a hold of an osciliscope for testing

Any advice at all before I stat on this tomorrow? Anyone had success with the wiring/setup?

Which tacho adapter? (there are several) And are you still using the points or have you changed them to electronic too?

This is a Mercruiser forum,.... Not a MSD forum....

ya... I have. Their support on this is weak - they say they can't help because they don't know the manufacturers (not-auto).

I was hoping someone here simply had some experience on it - but I'll check in with the msd forums. If anyone here has set this up - I'd still appreciate a reply.
