Does anyone know the MSRP of a '70 V-180. In order to register mine I have to know the MSRP, so the BMV will be able to figure out how much to charge and if I need a title.

What? Tell them its worth $100. It always depends on the condition. Explain its a restore project, they don't know better unless they come to visit.;) I mean it is 40 yrs old.

In Indiana if it cost under a certain amount brand new, the MSRP, it does not have to have a title. I went though this on my 15'er a year ago. It also had something to with how much it costs to register the boat. I went to teir website to get an estiment and they wanted to know the MSRP so they could tell roughly how much it would cost me to make it legal.

go to e-bay and look for old Starcraft ads. if you "enlarge" the picture you can read them.

I think I remember seeing an ad for a 1966 Jupiter, for $980. bucks.

You might get lucky and find one of your boat...

Re: msrp? from 1970

That's good info, But now I am wondering what these prices would of included.

I imagine you would get the trailer, But would you also get the Motor on the OB models ?

I have never been fortunate enough to go shopping for a NEW Boat....

The listed prices on the OB models did not include the outboard. And I would imagine the trailer would be an additional charge also.

The NADA website will tell you how much it is worth currently, better to go with a lower number in case you have to pay a precentage of it as a result;)

That is what they need more than the original list price for title/taxes I think. I wouldn't want to pay taxes on the list price from '79 when I bought it used. For you it may have been cheaper.:D

Re: msrp? from 1970

sorry it took me so long to let you guys know.. But yes they wanted to know the new price from 1970 to know if they had to issue a new title and hid #. They couldnt find it in their books so they just used the price I paid for it.. which is quite abit cheaper then new.. shoot the 140hp option was more then i paid for the boat.. oh and it runs great by the way
