They're out of business since the early 90s, I believe. That hull design is (again, I believe) called a snipe. Should be a sloop rig racer.

I moved your topic to the restoration forum. Lots of help in here for hull repair / rebuild.

It would be best if you can get to it from the inside, but you probably can't. For a hole that size, you'll at least need to fill it with thickened resin before it's glassed. If it gets any bigger from grinding, you might need a more solid backer.

Yes it seems to be two fairly thin layers of fiberglass, with a piece of foam sandwiched between them
