I am getting real sick of having to show cultural tolerance to these people, as i do not consider them to be all that tolerant toward us, unless in their interest, (eg like getting an entry permit).
Forget it, get over it, and get on with life. There are more important issues to worry about.
Cheers
Phillip

If you mess with a rattlesnake long enough, he'll get frustrated and pissed off enough to bite himself.

Let the sorry bassturds riot and raise hell. I say drop leaflets of that cartoon by the billions all over the Muslim world. They'll poke their own eyes out and bite off their own tongues.

Reading in the paper a comment made by a Canadian Muslim who says the comic was distasteful. But, the Muslim response is proving the artist right.

I agree with that! Anyway a political cartoonist just aims, doesn't aim to please.

Agree, JRJ.
I couldn't even begin to count the number of times Catholics have been the object of taunting, ridicule, etc., yet I don't see a lot of Catholics rioting, or car swarming

There are times when the things that are not said rings out the loudest, this is probably one of those instances for CNN.
These are perilous times for all journalists in the Islamic world, CNN retains a vast network of bureaus in those countries and indeed across the globe, it would be negligent of CNN to fan the flames and needlessly expose their employees to un-necessary risks.

It is perilous times for everyone that happens to be in the islamic world, even islams. A cartoon "fans the flames"? Let 'em flame.

cnn is more than willing to stir the pot at any problem here at home. New Orleans for example.

Re: Muslims outraged over cartoon

In the western world people say they are religous, they mean they go to church on Sunday. The Muslims that are offended by the cartoons their religion is their life. In some ways I think it is a plus that they stand united and follow thier beliefs and protest against things that go against their religion. I may not agree with their views but I think their dedication to their religion demonstrates their commitment to their beliefs.
