Seems like every other post lately has been about boat paint, i suppose as it gets warmer we're all looking to paint.
Unfortunately for me i hadn't seen any posts regarding the preparation needed to paint a boat deck.....
I just finished glassing in my new deck, i used polyester resin to do it.
So now i'm ready to paint it, and get the motor hooked back up.
I plan on using paint mixed with an anti slip additive, and putting two or three thick coats down.
Questions are....
i know there are a lot of marine paints out there do i need to worry about them being compatible with certain resins, or should they all act the same??
and do i need to do any surface prep to the deck or can i just paint over the glass???
thanks in advance

You don't need to worry about the type of resin, but you should sand and clean it very well before painting.

all of the manufacturers have VERY specific instructions posted. follow them closely and it should turn out great.
