I overtightened that needle valve that goes through the bottom of the float bowl on my Mont. Ward Sea King 7 (1988) and it broke. Now not only is the engine broken, but the valve is too. I couldn't find this on the FAQ's, How do I find another one?

It is a Clinton Engine, model K700 1106A, serial 580797, type 60 27207R. A specialty shop dealing in old boat parts told me that I probably wouldn't find this from a dealer or supplier since Clinton parts have disappeared after 25 years out of business. I will try to post some pictures when I get a chance. Basically, it had good spark but refused to start, though it pulls OK and has good compression. I think the carb had a problem so I am thinking of adapting a lawn mower carb to it. Any thoughts on trying to put a 4 stroke carb on a 2 stroke motor?
