if its sitting on the bunks, thats probably why its flexing, trailers can go out of adjustment. make sure the rollers aren't damaged and the axles for them are straight. may still need to lower the bunks a bit to load up the rollers again.

a 19 foot would have been built to take a V8, the weight shouldn't be an issue.

Ok what is the best way to fix this and how do you adjust them? The fact that it has a V8 is not an issue as it was an option for this boat. how much weight is supposed to be on the bunks?

A wise man once said this about keel roller trailers...

Step 1. Adjust the aft roller to support the transom. If needed, move the boat on the trailer (and the winch stand, if needed) so that the transom rests on the aft roller.

Step 2. Adjust the other rollers to support the keel.

Step 3. Adjust the bunks so that they keep the boat level without taking a lot of weight.

Very good information. I did lots of research on boats and repairs but found very little on trailer set up. Are these things that can be adjusted with the boat on the trailer?

ya, I leave the bolts just snug and move stuff around with a dead blow mallet , a hunk of wood and a floor jack provide good temporary hull support if anything is stuck or needs changing out .

Ok I got the rub rail reatached. There is no gaps now. Tomorrow I will mask and seal the edges. The only downside I see is the screws I used did not let the rubber insert sit flat in the track so everywhere there is a screw there is also a bump in the rubber. Not a big deal on this old boat.

On th trailer the front keel roller appears to be making solid contact. The one in the middle is touching but making very light contact. The furthest rear one is not touching anything. The lower croas brace it is attached to looks like it is bent due to making contact with the ground and the transom of the boat actually sits about 4 inches forward of the roller. I will have to address this.
