Bought brand new, Diehard Platinum Group 34 AGM RC:135 min...

I never charged it once. Took it home, tested it with a multimeter and it reads 12.99 Volts. Is it all set to go use it in my boat or do i have to charge it still?

THANKS in advance.:confused::confused::eek:

I think it's a good practice to go ahead and charge any new battery before use. Maybe just a trickle charge overnight on that one, just to make sure you're 100%.

Most batts will read around 13.65 when the motor is running and charging. Put it on a charger, won't hurt...

12.7v is considered fully charged. Entirely possible off the shelf as AGM self-discharge at a very slow rate ... ;)
