My boat finally hits the water!

Well after redoing the transom and deck this past month or so immediately after buying the boat, I finally got to actually enjoy my boat!!!! The interior and upholstery are not finished yet(should be this week). I'm also still going to take it in to get the carbs done and a new impeller just to be on the safe side.

I took it out cruising and fishing today, I only have the 2 back to back seats installed right now, but I had so much fun! This thing is waaay faster than I thought it was going to be, especially the hole shot. Here are the results!

I should have everything 100% complete(engine and interior) by this weekend. I'll post pictures of the interior and such when its finished.

Thanks. He was an interesting catch. I thought I had a snag at first, but set the hook anyways. Then it felt like he came off, so I just started cranking the line in really fast. He was actually just making a bee line for the boat, so it didn't even feel like I had a fish on. Just as I got it close to the boat he took off in a different direction and I realized I still had him!

What do you have? MY guess is a 15' with 50 or 60 hp.
Nothing like going by yourself either.

Its still a bit naked, but it works for fishing for now!

That was a pretty sweet hole-shot. I got mine out for the first time this weekend too. My hole-shot is somewhat less impressive. Feels like I'm standing the sucker on end and takes a good 10 seconds to plane out. I don't know what I'm doing. :-(

I would think yours would plane out just as quick. Something has to be up with your setup. Prop maybe?

I'll have to play a bit. I could be exaggerating the time. Seemed like a long time, but maybe I'm just expecting too much. Next time out I'll make sure I'm trimmed right down and practice a bit and take a video.
