Re: My Boat Was Stolen Yesterday!! Caught On Tape
I believe the intent was to explain the differences in Europe vs North America not to crap on diesel.
So welcome ed & inge to iboats.
I'm with QC and several others that made comments about boats/trailers unlocked, etc. Its sad that the world has come to the point where we need locks, alarms, satellite tracking, etc to enjoy the property we purchased.
Its simple. Its YOUR property, located on YOUR property so leave it the hell alone.
.
That is how I read it as well. Just trying to "break the ice" so to speak. I got no bad intentions from it either. So welcome ed & inge from me as well.
I grew up on the farm and I remember the day we finaly put a lock on the back door. A few years later we had to start locking the fuel tanks. That has only been about 23 years ago. Times have changed and not all of it was for the better

. I admit though, I still leave my keys in the vehicles.
And as long as I'm at it, I feel the "repo" comments were out of line. First of all, the assumption that it must have a payment because it looks newer is biased and steriotypical. Also, if it had a payment book and the OP WAS late on payments, I don't think there would have been anything here said. People jump to conclusions entirely too fast.
As for deisel, I already posted about that, but since I am here, I will say it again, Really sorry for what you are going through, I don't even want to try and imagine coming home and finding my boat gone. Now my Avalanche on the other hand...
EDIT: just being proactive
