My early Father's Day present

I wasn't aware that June 17th was Father's day until my younger son called me last night. He lives two hours away and called last night to see if he and I could go fishing Sunday.

The water levels are prime right now on my local river and I think I'm more excited about this fishing trip than he.

Today, I cleaned up the boat,pre-rigged 8 rods and I'm waiting for Sunday like an 8 year old on Christmas Eve.

Very cool! My dad lives about 3hrs away. I've been thinking about taking the kid up north and all of us go fishing. She'll be with her dad and I'll be with mine. Sounds like a win, win to me!

I met with my older son today and he wants to join the fishing trip tomorrow. Woo Hoo!! On my boat with my two boys. Life is great.

I got two killer red and yellow blooming cacti - and son just left for Tahoe w/ bud n family - thuss we did our F day last night, pizza, online games etc, was cool

Just went fishing today with my son....and going tubing tomorrow for Father's day.

He's my only child(and 15 yrs old), so I try to spend as much time with him as possible. Won't be long....and girls, cars, friends etc will keep us apart more than I'd like.

My son and I are going out tomorrow as well. Can't wait. My oldest sent me a card. It said "I could have sent an email or a text, but I was raised better than that. Happy Father's Day".

Stupid things like that get in my eyes lately....
