Re: my evinrude 115 mpg

The title of your post says Miles Per Gallon (MPG) yet in the message you ask about Miles Per Hour (MPH). We can't begin to predict what you MPH are since we have no idea what kind of boat you have and how you use it. But your engines will each burn about 11.5 gallons of fuel per hour at wide open throttle. Again, depending on the boat, its weight, and how you use it will affectd MPG. You can figure MPG if you feel its important by filling up with fuel and traveling a given distance at a given CONSTANT speed of your choosing. Then fill up again. The number of gallons of fuel into the distance traveled is the MPG "at the speed you traveled". Just like your car, if you drive fast MPG goes down. If you drive slower, MPG is better. What that number is depends on you. However any engine, carbed, EFI, DFI or otherwise, will typically burn fuel at a rate that equals 10% of its rated horsepower. therefore, 115 x .10 = 11.5 gallons per hour.
