My exhaust flapper is GONE!!!

I noticed my exhaust flapper is gone, the flaps are completely missing and the rod is the only thing there. I know this isn't abnormal.... I rebuilt the transoim so the outdrive and everything was removed. There doesn't seem to be pieces in the exhaust bellows, etc.

What is the part number for an exhaust flapper for a mercruiser 3.0L/LX with alpha one gen 2 sterndrive? Is it 60930?

I am almost done putting everything together after rebuilding the transom, is it safe to run my boat on muffs without the flapper?

They are probably in the bottom of your drive

It is safe to run on muffs without the shutters. 60930 is correct for 90-95 year 3.0L.


BTW, right in the bottom of the exhaust pipe or in the drive is most common place to lodge broken off shutter.
