Had a guy email me and wanted to order fifty sets of mattresses(1st clue). Wanted to pay by credit card(2). First off he wanted double king mattresses which there is no such size. Ya either want a double or a king.

To play along with him i emailed him and i told him i would sell him fifty sets for $25,000 but shipping would be on him. i asked him where he wanted it to be shipped to. He emailed me and told me he would a have truck pick it up the sets(3).Would I take a credit card and hold it until the next day(4) before running it? My last email to him was what color did he want it in. I told him i have a discontinued cover in fraud green that i would give him a fifteen year warranty be he in or out of prison. That was the last email i got from him

Re: My first Mattress Scam

It was obviously a scam... BUT, I thought double king was another term for the California King sized matress (larger than the regular king size for people like me whose legs hang over the end of normal king sized matresses).

Should've involved the police. Good chance he's running that stolen cc against something else.

Re: My first Mattress Scam

To help you out here. An Eastern King is 76x80. What you are calling a double king is actually a California King 72x84. We do alot of waterbed replacement mattresses. The inside of a waterbed is 72x84 which is a perfect fit. Most king size beds are all 76x80. I am 6'5 and still sleep in a regular king. Unless you 6'6 , are lying on your stomach or are engaged in some hey nanny nanny a king should fit most of you sleep needs. Now if you wear 14 shoes i am afraid that is another story

I can make a mattress as long as you want. We do this by cutting another unit down and marry it into the other spring unit. In the past we have done these units for basketball players over seven foot tall.

It then gets really expensive. Now you have to have special sheets made and frames.

I have been looking at boats on Kijiji, and there are too many scammers operating there. You really have to be careful. The problem is so out of control that even the cops don't bother because there are too many of them. Best way is to just be aware.

Have a great day,

Rob.
