Here are some pictures of my new place.....First place for the girlfriend and I. The pictures don't do it much justice since the lighting was bad.....the carpet is ALL really nice and looks the same as the second picture. For some reason some of the pictures came out bad. The dining room table and the laptop desk were pieces of furniture that I refinished and repainted. New Living Room furniture is in the works too.

It is 1,200 sq ft. There is also a laundry room, attached garage, and master bedroom that I didnt get pictures of (little lady was sleeping.....)

The place was much cleaner before the Packer game. My parents came over and there was food and snacks and drinks all over the place.

Very nice Pony.
One question, is there something wrong with the fan blades in the first bunch of pictures?
Looks like they are a little droopy to me.

Cool first pad. I wish my first place was like that. My room mate (at the time)
lived in a 4 plex a little more than a run down shack but it was what we called home. Have to stop there because of the parties we had im surprised we got to stay there as long as we did.

They are pretty droopy. Not sure why......they straighten out nice when the fan is on at least ;)

Looks like an older fan. High humidity will cause that sometimes.
Them blades will soak up the moisture in the air and become heavy.

It just doesn't look right to me. At your age you should still have a cable spool for a kitchen table, milk crates for table supports, and plastic lawn chairs inside.

Seriously thats a nice place ya got going on there.

Yeppers, that there is exactly what I was thinking. Plus I only got to 1200 sq ft on my 4th domicile.

Re: My Humble new abode.

the smart kids don't do that any more, they stay home, let mama cook, laundry. bank there money. 22y/o Nephew is getting married in Dec. Just paid 190,000 for a 1300 sqft 3/1 65 y/o in the best neighborhood in the city. BIL and i have been over there working for free remodeling the kitchen, crown mold, etc. the house would easily go for around 250-275, it was an estate, out of town heirs, not idea of value.

Nice place Pony :D You just might want to label those pics as "Before the Children". Believe me, it won't last long like that once they are in the house. BTDT! :D

Re: My Humble new abode.

If memeory serves he should be about 23 now. Correct me if I'm wrong Pony.

That be correct......

Yes Bondo, that is a picture of Elvis. That picture is part of a much larger compromise. She got to put it up if I got to put my "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Scarface" posters.

Haven't had to get rid of much......The garage walls are littered with movie/music posters. I miss my big red leather chair, but there isnt much room for it anyways.

Most people my age probably dont have as nice of a place or half the stuff that I have. I doubt many people my age can say that they own two boats, a trailer, a truck, and a scooter. Fact is I worked my tail off for it. My parents split the school bill and that was it. I paid for the rest on my own. Did my own laundry. Bought my own clothes, and did my share of the housework since my dad was recovering from cancer. Since High School I have worked a full time job and have gone to school full time. At least half of that was working 3rd shift. Now I am in a good job, with all the opportunities in the world to move up. I am now going to school because I want to, because it is important to me to finish, to get a degree, and build a safety net for myself. That is out of my pocket.........when I finish I should have at least 2 majors and a minor.
