I would be hard pressed to say anything better than anyone else has said it, but the sentiment is there. You should be PROUD of what you've accomplished. You're raising 3 daughters, 2 of whom are now adults and out on their own. You've stood by a family business, even when it was failing. Many others would have parted ways when they saw the problems, but you stayed and dealt with the issues that required your attention, even without pay. You've set your sights on another goal when many other would have just accepted whatever came their way, and cried "Why me"?

A measure of a man isn't what he does for a living, but what he does when things are difficult. You put your family first, in business and in your personal life, you've set your sights on a new career when the other one ended, and you've kept your home intact when other would walk away.

Look at what you've accomplished in a different perspective. Personally, I say CONGRATULATIONS!!

Re: My Life Chapter 2

This is my second chance at doing my dream, and so I open Chapter 2 of my life...

The irony to this is that I should be so Happy, but for some reason I am exhausted, not sure how to explain it....

Lippy, my dad always told me that everyone will go through shear hell at one point in their lives.
My parents went through it and almost lost their house when I was 5, I knew nothing of it.

My wife and I went through it in 2006/2008 culminating in a the final day of foreclosure that was saved by a generous friend.
We then managed to sell up and repay those who helped.
Then the next chapter of our life's started and we are here, debt free (almost) with a boat, sunshine, health and an intact family. Big lessons learnt from the past. I wish I could have kept the heartache of those years from my son but I think it will at least have made him stronger and more aware of what can happen.

Go for it Lippy, you have your family and never ever look back.
Well done my friend.

Congrats on the new job!!!

While I am new here I can see the Character in alot of you folks by what you say in threads like this one. Not just Lipp, but all who have responded positively.
