my neighbor is selling a boat i can't find online

if I had to guess I would say it is a late 70's early 80's smokercraft the only model I can find on it is on both the trailer and the back corner of the boat it says smoker craft 10-41 it has a 50 hp Johnson motor and I would estimate it at around 16' it has storage up front and a live well behind the drivers seat the carpet and seats look good the outside is dinged up some and it is riveted I have googled myself to death and I can't find anything about a 10-41 anyone know anything about this thing

I am familiar with smoker craft boats, I have owned a couple but not familiar with any 10-41. Check the HIN plate for a serial # and see if that can be traced back to a model #. Never heard of them using that type of indication for a boat model. Any pics that could be posted may help jar a few minds on here..

While it's nice to know as much as you can about a boat, they are not like a large standardized production run like cars. Everything on a boat is basically universal in the sense that you're not going to be calling a someplace and need a model to get parts/pieces. The only stand out to this is when it comes to motor/drive parts then yes there are specific model concerns but motors tend to be easier to identify.

We love pics around here so definitely post some pics (option #3 is the best bet) it may jog some memories but in the scheme of things you can get by without knowing to specific of info. :joyous:

Being that this number is on both the trailer and the boat I'm gonna say that it has nothing to do with the boat model... Most likely that number was assigned to it by a previous owner... Possibly either a rental boat or owned by a company... I'd say you can safely dismiss 10-41 as being a useless number for you.
