Re: My new baby!!!

Oh sorry....Shes a 65 StarCraft Holiday 18 footer! (My dream boat) had a 71 couple years ago that I redid but do to some circumstances had to sell it. Bought this one for $500. Shes gonna be mint when I am done with her! The guy I bought her from said one cylinder has no comprssion. I plan on sellin the motor...its a 1989 Force 125 hp. Anyone have any ideas what this might be worth? or what I should ask for it? Thanks

Probably part the motor out for the most $$$. Looks like a nice project!

Awesome Find! Lookin' forward to the restoration of "Jessi Lynn" (the Tin version)!

As DJ said, probably parts motor if it indeed has bad compression. I'd 1st try to revive it (maybe it only has a stuck ring or something) and/or inspect the cylinder walls.

i'm with dj and BF....check compression, look at cyl walls (you'll have to pull head anyway to part it), and likely sell parts on fleebay.

jbcurt....I am gonna keep the closed bow! love these boats. Thanks everyone for the great welcoming to this community! I do have to say though, this is gonna be a lengthy project as my wife and I agreed this will be funded with my part time job. (She wants to move out in the country) so we have been trying to sell our house and looking for something country style!!! Thanks and I will keep everyone posted on my new project!
