Re: My New Boat!

Unbelievable!
Is it used for fishing? Close to shore I suppose.

Re: My New Boat!

Only if you like drinks with a hint of carbon monoxide :)

Yeah, it is for fishing, because all I ever do is fish.

Here is the list of accessories I have or will soon have...

Nav/Anchor lights (4 AA Powered)
Depth Finder
Pole Holders (3)
Pole Storage clips (2 sets of 2)
2 5' ropes, 1 10' rope, 1 50' anchor rope
Anchor
Cover; probably tarp wi/ pole for middle
I would also like to convert the seat and bench to be able to store gear inside.

Does anybody have anymore gear suggestions?

Cup Holders! Not the little ones either but big fat ones that hold the can and the koozie.

Also, you need another wheel rig for the front to match that set of wheels on the back. Maybe one that steers, if you put a wagon handle on it you could "pull it" to the water or swing it back over towards the boat. Then you could hop in and "drive it" like a soap box derby car!

Depending on the slope you might even set a new WOT record for land speed and it would be one heck of a ride right off the end of the ramp and into the water!

Got to go...I've got tears in my eyes, have fun with it!

Hey, ya gotta love the angle of the hub on that engine. Can you imagine what that would do with a higher HP engine????

That's certainly one of the best outboards ever built.
LubeDude - I dunno, it's not really all that different from a straight inboard is it? Perhaps twice the usual angle (The weedless drive is 110°).

Re: My New Boat!

Tested the boat, it worked great. However, the engine wouldn't start, so I will probably do a tune-up (thanks to Outboard Motor Repair this week and get it tested. I got a depth finder at least, and the title should be back tuesday.

Imagine how great it will work when the engine starts! That is definately a one of a kind boat. Good luck with it, catch lots of fish!

Re: My New Boat!

UPDATE:
Cleaned the carb, mixed some fresh gas, and with a little bit of starting fluid, got it running, will probably test next week, and do the rest of the tune-up over the winter. I will keep you posted
