Just picked up this beauty today. It's mostly original and in great shape for its age. Now if it only remembers where the good fishin' holes are...

My new boat album

Yep, it is almost a tri-hull...

Yep, it has a Chrysler hanging off the back...

But it was so pretty I couldn't resist.

I figured that anyone who cared for the original paperwork this well would take equally good care of the boat.:)

Re: My New Chrysler Charger 118

My friend had a 16 footer many years ago. The floor is foam filled and as long as it is not waterlogged, it is a quiet, solid structure. The hull itself rides amazingly well and handles rough water with aplomb. Turns like it is on rails--those tiny sponsons on the sides seem to be just the right size. Well worth whatever you paid for it. You won't be disappointed.

One suggestion: Swap the 55 for a 75 or 85. I'm reasonably certain the hull is rated for more and there is no comparison between the two cylinder and three cylinder engines.

Hey! go over to The Chrysler Crew and post your photos there.

Thanks for the kind words, Mr. Frank. I am real excited to get this little jewel on the water. It's 14', though, and only rated for a 65hp. This is my first boat so give me a year or two to get my feet wet before I start dreaming of MORE POWER...lol:D

I found another sweet bonus among the "extras" included with this boat. Under the driver's seat I found a real, honest-to-goodness, in mint condition, still in the box (but the box is rough) Ron Popiel pocket fisherman!...lol What else can a guy ask for?

Really cool boat. I have a soft spot for those old Chrysler outboards. Awesome to see a nice matched package :)

OK! Then look for a twin cylinder twin carb Chrysler 65 They made them for a number of years up to 1984 and the engine was a beast- It will put your 55to shame, Example: On a 14 footer the 55 did 28 MPH. This 1984 60 did 45--No comparison.
