well the girl smacked up a car so we wanted an extra vehicle. been thinking about a camper/boat hauler of larger proportions lately. finally found the deal I was looking for. 200 F350 DRW 2WD V10 auto. would have looked into a diesel but I don't know enough about them and this should easily haul anything I'm looking to move.
I went for 2WD because we already have an F150 and a Jeep that are 4WD. I like the ride and lower maint of 2WD.
this weekend is the camper show so hoping to find my weekend home there. LOL

Nice "investment"! That truck will be able to pull your house off its foundation if you wanted it too. The V10 is a great engine and will last well into the 200k + range if you treat it right. Just don't venture to far from a gas station. My neighbors F-250 V10 gets about 9mpg pulling a utility trailer. I saw a great sticker on a V10 Excursion "V-10 Hauling A** Suckin Gas"

Not bad, considering it's a Ford! Nah, looks good. I had a Dodge with a V-10, what a stump puller. I just went broke putting gas in it. I think I got 12mpg when I wasn't hauling, 8 when I was.

V-10 is a great engine. I had a F250 with V-10 4X4 and it was great. Gas mileage was not good but power was awesome. I plowed with it and hauled a trailer with it. The ford dealer called a V-10 the "poor man's diesel" due to its great pulling power.
