Well some updates I just got the new bracket it was made by a local builder here in Miami I must say the craftsmanship is the best and price was good I got a grate deal

Here is how it looks

well i finally tested the motor here is a video of how its doing i found out there is a small pump on the side of the motor with the red nob when i unplug it the motor turns on with no problem and when i plug it back on the motor wont start what happens if i live it off do i need it

Boat looks great. That bracket is sweet! That pump is most likely your primer circuit. You have that as opposed to a choke. Works much better I think (my '81 was the first year they went that route). You activate it by pushing the key in. Is yours perhaps not working? I can't imagine trying to cold start one of these motors without a choke or a working primer.

thanks ezmobee there is a few things i have to check like the wiring on the key switch my my tachometer don't work and is brand new but i am sure the pump is on the open position all the time about the key switch when i turn on the motor and i try to put the key on the off position the motor stay on the only way i turn of the motor is by the kill switch where can i get a good wiring diagram for this motor

well here are some updates long time with out longing in here

first my 115 hp was bad from the beginning the guy who sold it to me sold me a bad motor so i got me a 130 hp 1996 Johnson with really good compression

i felt my trim was going bad every time i push up or down is was really slow to it stop so i took it off and this is what i found

i was able to get a new motor for $67 on ebay brand new with the new o ring i think it was a good find i don't know if i have to replace the oil and if so with what type of oil
