HI
I live near Lisbon, Portugal where the temperature in winter it is never negative.
So on my Volvo 5.0 GI PWTR, TBI, from 1999, my winterizing is:
- Monthly run up the engine during 15 minutes at 1000 ? 1500 rpm.
- I only remove the 2 drain plug from the exhaust manifold, in order to always have water on the impeller of the sea water pump, to maintain the impeller wetted and so flexible.
My first remove of the exhaust manifold and Elbow it took place after 10 years, with any problem (cobalt 226 with 450 sea water hours).
So this ?no? winterizing is sufficient?
Thanks, Almeida
