Here's a twofer of stupid human tricks I did this weekend...

Took the boat out Thursday evening to test some work I did on the motor and do a little fishing (the start of the weekend for me since I had Friday off ). When I back the trailer in to get the boat I'm usually pretty good at getting real close to the dock without getting too close. But this time I angled it in too much and bent the taillight bracket on the dock. Suprisingly I didn't break the taillight itself. That was the first SHT.

So this morning I unbolt the taillight from the bent L-bracket and proceed to bang it back into place with a hammer. The hammer glanced off the bracket and I whacked myself in the knee!:eek: Ouch.

:D right!

I was ready to hear you broke the tail light with the hammer :p

Yeah, that would've really been ironic, finishing the job the dock started

...so after I stopped hopping on one foot and cursing, I realized the ordinary hammer wasn't doing the job so I got the sledge out. More irony-- the solution was to get a bigger hammer. Two good whacks with that and the bracket was back in place. And I kept my knee out of the way thet time :p

Re: My own "twofer"

I was thinking you were going to say that in the process of bending the bracket back it snapped off at the weld. Seems to happen when you least expect it.
