Hi all,
I just went to look at a 2000 201 fundeck my parents want to buy, they will be "upgrading" from a 1993 FunDeck 196 w/a 115 Yamaha 2 stroke.
This 201 was not covered much and the seats and plastic parts have UV damage, the Bimini zip up cover is slitting a bit as well.
The seats need to be re-done for sure, the carpets are missing (the snaps are all there) and i was thinking of just removing all the snaps and putting a small SS screw in each of the hole where the snaps were (run the boat with no carpets.. the floor is a clean anti-slip finish). The Bimini is in really great shape but the zip up cover will need to be replaced at some point. The hull is in really good condition with almost no marks in the gelcoat. The decals have some marks/scraps and all the stainless is in great shape. The lids on the ladders, anchor and coolers are slightly discolored but still very good working order. The dash board panel has a little discoloration but still in good condition. Everything seems to work other than the depthfinder.
The boat ran like a top and the out drive was like new. The boat shows 645hrs but I have to believe the out drive has been replaced as it looked new. Mechanically the boat is in very good condition.
The ironic part is the boat comes with the original covers that are in like new condition. If the owners used these covers the seats would probably still be in good shape.
The boat also comes with a tandem trailer that appears to also be in decent shape. Tires looked good, marina said they just repacked all the bearings etc.
What would you guys consider a fair price for this (needing seats replaced and a couple odds and ends?)
