Re: My PC is messed up. Can't open files
OK,....it's not too big of a deal to find a solution if you can provide just a wee bit of info.

What is the file 'type' (hint: is it a txt file, a doc file ect....)

What Operating System are you running??? (hint: Win98, Win2000, WinXP)

It sounds like the file association for that 'type' of file is mis-configured....

Usually HTML documents (saved web pages) open with your default browser....

If it's a xxx.txt file, it opens with Notepad etc.

Edit: woops, just saw, Win98....

Try this,
Run WIndows Explorer
At top menu, pick Tools, folder options, file types
Look up the 'file type' in the list
Look to see it AOL.exe is listed to handle this file type.
If AOL.exe is not listed, browse to the folder where AOL is installed and click on Aol.exe and click OK.

The point here is to determine what the 'file type' is for sure...

What is the full file name of the file you are trying to open??
