This is a pontoon/cabin that I plan to use for overnight and fishing.I sold my 20 ft pontoon and trailer but kept the 2005[low hour] Suzuki 90/4s engine and bought a freshwater 93 Bass Tracker 24 ft pontoon boat.I added a 3rd tube for increased flotation though it wasn't absolutely unnecessary.I redecked it with 3/4 mpw and will follow up with marine vinyl. The transom was welded to the 3rd tube and bolted to the Z bar, this allow me to deck over the area were the motor normally sits and I also added another 8 inches. The deck was square off in front[was V shaped] for more forward deck area. The deck is 24' 8" with an 8' forward deck,8x12'canbin and 4'8" reardeck,6' roof overhang in front and 2' in the rear. The cabin frame is constructed from 2" sq alum. tube and weights appox. 250 lbs.I'm documenting my progress with pictures, here's a few up to date.

Re: My Pontoon/weekender Project

Very nice and well planned. I do like to see projects that appear to be professionally constructed and it looks as if yours is well on its way.

Keep the pictures coming.

And I now see why you asked about furniture weight in the previous post. IMHO, furniture will be an insignificant weight factor with your project because of the weight of the cabin and the extra toon.

IMG_0736.JPGFinally got to work on my project again, hopefully I can keep on it steady until it's finished.Found two new alum.doors a thrift store for $50 that I cut down to fit my cabin frame saving me a couple of hundred dollar which I can use toward a couple of custom side windows.I have ordered some lift hinges and gate stops so I can assemble the rails and do a proper layout before laying out the marine vinyl. Here's a pic of the doors I cut down and install for a trial fit.
