Very true Tashasdaddy, I guess I should have noted that. Sometimes I forget that most people haven't been boating for years or know how easy it could be to do a nose in a toon with to much weight up front/bow. Thanks for the help in making sure he makes the right decisions.

it is called submarining. get too much weight on the bow, hit a wave, the bow goes into it, and the bow dives, does not come back up until you slow down.

I rebuilt a 1991 Playcraft Pontoon boat 2 years ago.. The folks at American Soft Trim (you can find them on line) were extremely helpful and went way above and beoynd to make sure I got what I needed to complete the rebuild. I replaced EVERYTHING form the plywood deck to the furniture. Cost me about 3200.00. It was well worth the effort as my family and I have many wonderful days on the water. Good luck with the build.
