I'm not sure if I should have continued my old thread but I bought a dif. boat than the 1 I was talking about.

Anyway I bought a 1983 century 5000 sun cruiser,with 305gm 228 hp,alpha1 (or pre-alpha ) definitely happy with this buy compared to the sea ray (with 470) that I looked at.

now that the shopping part is over I need some essentials could someone please give me a link for the manuals for this driveline?If I need more info I'll get it later I'm going up to work on the trailer,bearings,also if anyone has any thoughts on this boat and driveline any info is greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!!

The p/o said he had no shifting issues at all but I noticed the 2 wires for shift int. sw. are clipped.I've done a lower shift cable on a dif. boat...is it goig to be roughly the same procedure?I can't believe there were no issues with those wires clipped.
going to finish fixing trailer today and splash it I guess I will see

Ayuh,.... I find it Hard to believe it would come Out of gear....

Hey Bondo,
finally got the drive one dnlded(having problems with the engine 1,tried a diff way still going )and the pic on the cover has the top cap on the drive is kinda rounded w a hole thru ...mine has the fflat cover.
same manual?
