One 1/2" hole in the front, about an inch & a quarter forward! You'll get a 5/16" allen in there. wollow it out if you have too! It's right there, can't miss.

Prop. Long 1/8" drill bit. Try to the holes to a minamum. Just drill thru the splines! You think your gonna hurt something?

Yes, Pete, I know about the allen bolt. Unfortunately, the nut inside the anode is spinning with the bolt, so the bolt is useless for removal.

As far as drilling the splines on my prop, why would I want to ruin a perfectly good prop?

You say you were able to separate a little to get a hacksaw in there? How about a long metal sawzall blade? With a little power behind it.

Probably make quick work of it.

Ok, so here's some more pics.

This shows how the anode goes up into the casing (pink arrow), and the green arrow points to the void in the zinc where I can see (I think) the bottom of the bolt, but not the nut.

This one shows where I've been going at it with the hacksaw. It's the seam between the two sections of the drive (upper and mid sections). The bolt is at the left of where you can see daylight between the 2 sections.

15 seconds with an air cut-off tool and you'd be done.

Where would you cut with the cut off? The gap between the upper and lower is small, (thickness of a hacksaw blade, and tight at that), and I don't want to tear up the casing.
