Several years ago ( I would never admit anything recent) the wife, two boys, and I go to the lake. It had been a long time between boats so I wasn't as sharp as I am now.
I had an older boat and was aware that there could be problems so I brought my cell phone and a map with me.
The wife and the little guy were somewhat scared of the boat so they stayed at the play area while me and the big one go fishing. The whole time we are out I check the phone and I have full bars, perfect reception.
As fate would have it the boat overheated, its starting to get late, etc...
So I thought, I am prepared. I grab the cell phone and guess what? I didn't have a single number to call! The wife did not have a cell phone then....

Fast forward a few years and the little guy who was scared of the boat then, now the boat can't go fast enough. I get the wife and the oldest one on a raft behind the boat in an isolated cove so we are all by ourselves. I am letting the youngest one spot while I drive.
We are going nice and slow so I can easily look forward and backwards keeping up with the action.
I ask the youngest how they are doing. He tells me that they are saying go faster! So we go faster. I look back and the wife and the oldest are hanging on real nicely so everything is good.
I ask the youngest how they are doing, He tells me that they are saying go faster! So we go faster. I look back and they have a real tight grip on the raft so everything is good.
Going through the next turn I noticed the boat suddenly speed up so I look back just in time to see my wife and oldest boy tumbling across the water. I slow down and spin around to retrieve them like you are supposed to.
The wife starts ripping into to me like I was some kind of garbage that didn't belong on this earth asking me what the @*&^#% was I thinking going that fast!
About that time I noticed the s-eatin grin on the boys face,,,, I told the wife that all she had to do to get me to slow down was to wave her hand... After a few more choice words, she informed me that the firm grip she had on the raft was in actuality a death grip that would only be let go when it got around my neck!
The moral is, speed is money, how much do you want to owe your wife, and also never trust a speed demon kid when he says go faster..

LMAO. That is hilarious.
We do that to eveyone who gets on the tube. As fast as we can go until they fall off.
Don't worry, everyone knows that is how it goes when you get on the tube. :D :D :D
